Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CineGen (the "Service"), available at https://cine-gen.com. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What CineGen Does

CineGen is a browser-based software service that generates short videos from text prompts, uploaded images, or scripts. You describe a scene, and the Service submits your request to third-party AI video generation models and returns a generated video clip. The Service also includes a story-to-video workflow that breaks a script into a shot list, generates each shot, and assembles them into a finished short film.

CineGen is a software tool. We do not sell, produce, or ship physical goods.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. Your Account

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account, and keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@cine-gen.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

5. Plans, Credits and Billing

5.1 How credits work

All generation is metered in credits. Credits are consumed based on the duration and resolution of the output: higher resolutions cost more credits per second of video. The exact cost of a generation is displayed before you submit it. Credits included with a plan expire as stated below.

5.2 Free tier

• Price: $0
• Includes 50 bonus credits, valid for 30 days from registration
• Output up to 720p
• All aspect ratios (16:9, 9:16, 1:1)
• No payment method required

5.3 Pro subscription

• $9.90 per month, or $99.00 per year
• Includes 500 credits per billing cycle, valid for 30 days
• Output up to 1080p
• No watermark
• Commercial usage rights
• Priority generation queue

Automatic renewal. Pro is a recurring subscription. It renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle at the then-current price, and the payment method on file is charged automatically. By subscribing, you authorize these recurring charges. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

5.4 Lifetime plan

• Includes 5,000 credits, valid for 365 days
• Output up to 1080p
• No watermark
• Commercial usage rights
• Lifetime access to the Service for the account that purchased it

5.5 Credit top-up packs (one-time purchase)

If you run out of credits mid-cycle, you can buy additional one-time credit packs. Credits from these packs are valid for 30 days.

5.6 Payment processing

Payments are processed by third-party payment service providers. We do not store your full card details. Prices are in US dollars and may change; we will give notice before any change affecting your subscription takes effect.

6. Refunds and Cancellation

6.1 Paid plans, credit packs and the Lifetime plan

• Unused purchases: if you have not consumed any credits, you may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase.
• Partially used: if some credits have already been consumed, the refund is limited to the unused portion, calculated on a pro-rata basis.
• Used: once credits from a purchase have been fully consumed, that purchase is not refundable.
• To request a refund, email support@cine-gen.com from the address on your account, with your order reference. We aim to respond within 3 business days, and approved refunds are returned to the original payment method.

6.2 Subscriptions

You may cancel at any time. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not automatically refund the current period. If you cancel within 7 days of your first subscription charge and have consumed no credits, you may request a full refund of that charge.

6.3 Free bonus credits

The 50 credits issued on registration are provided free of charge and are not backed by any payment. They cannot be refunded, exchanged for cash, or transferred, and they expire after 30 days. Free credits are excluded from refunds because no consideration was paid for them.

6.4 Digital content and your right of withdrawal

Generated videos are digital content delivered immediately. By requesting a generation, you consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that once a generation has been delivered, the unused-credit refund window described above is reduced accordingly. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have.

6.5 Service failures

If a generation fails on our side and credits were deducted, the credits are returned to your balance automatically or on request. Credits lost to a confirmed platform fault are never charged.

7. Acceptable Use

You are responsible for everything you submit to the Service, including text prompts, uploaded images and scripts, and for how you use the output.

7.1 Prohibited content

You must not use the Service to create, upload, request, or distribute any of the following. This list applies to prompts, input images, and generated output:

1. Sexual and NSFW content — pornography, explicit sexual content, sexual content involving real or depicted persons, or any content intended for adult sexual gratification.
2. Violence and gore — graphic violence, extreme gore, torture, mutilation, or content that glorifies or instructs on serious harm to people or animals.
3. Hate and harassment — hate speech, slurs, or content that promotes discrimination, degrades, or harasses individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
4. Child safety — any content that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits minors, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, and any sexualized depiction of a minor. This is an absolute prohibition.
5. Deepfakes and impersonation — synthetic depictions of real, identifiable people created without their consent, or content designed to impersonate any person, brand, or organization in a misleading way, including for fraud or political deception.
6. Intellectual property infringement — content that reproduces or incorporates copyrighted works, trademarks, logos, or other third-party rights without authorization.

7.2 Other prohibited activities

You must also not:

• Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, other users' accounts, or our providers' infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service without our written permission
• Use the Service to distribute malware, phishing content, or spam
• Circumvent usage limits, credit accounting, or safety controls
• Represent generated output as a real recording of real events where that would be misleading

8. Content Review, Reporting and Enforcement

8.1 Review

We review content in response to reports and may, at our discretion, review prompts, uploaded inputs, and generated output for compliance with these Terms. We may also suspend or restrict an account while a review is in progress.

8.2 Reporting

If you encounter content on the Service that you believe violates these Terms, report it to support@cine-gen.com with a description and, where possible, a link or reference. We acknowledge reports within 24 hours and aim to complete a review within 72 hours. Reports concerning child safety are escalated immediately.

8.3 Enforcement

When we confirm a violation, we may take any of the following actions, depending on severity and whether it is a repeat offence:

• Issue a warning
• Remove or block the offending content
• Suspend generation features or freeze credits
• Suspend or permanently terminate the account
• Where legally required, report the matter to the relevant authorities

For violations of the child safety rules in section 7.1(4), we terminate the account immediately and report to the appropriate authorities. We may cooperate with law enforcement.

8.4 Appeals

If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, contact support@cine-gen.com. We will review the decision and respond.

9. Your Content and Generated Output

9.1 Input

You retain ownership of the text, images, and scripts you submit. You grant us a limited license to process, store, and transmit your input solely to operate and improve the Service and to comply with law.

9.2 Output

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, you own the videos generated from your input, to the extent permitted by law and by the terms of the underlying model providers.

9.3 Commercial use

Commercial usage rights are included with the Pro and Lifetime plans. Output created on the free tier is for non-commercial evaluation only.

9.4 Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your input and your use of the output do not infringe any third party's rights and comply with all laws that apply to you. The Service is a creative tool; you are the publisher of whatever you create with it.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service itself — including its software, interface, design, and documentation — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. These Terms do not grant you any right to our branding or to the Service's underlying technology.

11. Availability and Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, including specific generation models or features, at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and generation times depend on third-party model providers.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that output will meet your expectations or be free of errors.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including sections 7 to 13 — will do so.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new effective date, and where required we will notify you by email. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
